About me
Meet Shauna Garvey
After years of practising as a lawyer in a top London law-firm, I took my foot off the gas, enabling me to stay at home with my three children, to have more time with family and to move back home to Dublin.
Why this work matters
The children are getting bigger now and it was time to get back to (paid) work. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my previous job as a solicitor, over the course of my life I've lost people I love along the way, and watched people I care about lose people too. Sometimes those losses have been sudden, and at other times, heartbreakingly slow.
I wanted more from my career in the next stage of my life; I wanted meaningful work to nourish my soul. Positive health coaching does precisely that by empowering people to understand and implement changes in their lives that help alter their long-term health trajectory in a positive way. Through my work, I feel I am honouring the memory of those lost too soon, and knowing that I'm supporting people to not just survive, but thrive helps me thrive too.
My background
Before moving into coaching, I built a career in law and science, alongside years of academic and professional training that continue to shape how I support clients today.
